A Vacation Day
Toss the routine to the wind . . . and you end up with a slightly unhappy baby.
However, you had playtime at the gym. That wasn’t so bad. When Daddy and I came in to fetch you and your brothers, you and several other babies were sitting in Bumbo’s facing each other.
It was cute.
Much cuter than your tired mom . . . I’ll have to work up the courage to do another spin class – if I can even walk tomorrow.
Raced home for a nap.
Good nap.
Topped off with . . . . drum roll . . . you figured out how to roll from your back to your belly!!!!
Yea, maybe when you roll over in your sleep now, you won’t be so upset. I may not have to give you a “mercy flip” for much longer.
Good meal . . . that didn’t come out so nice this evening.
Canoeing at Fort Ben with friends. Hot.
Quick bath.
Ahhh . . . sleep for you.
Enjoying Your Meal
By the way . . . feeding you 4 cubes of food is not a good idea. Combine that with nursing before bed . . . your belly simply isn’t that big. I don’t know why I didn’t listen to common sense.
However, your body worked as God designed it to. Which in turn, made the washing machine work.
May 31
Like your siblings . . . you like to talk. I caught you midsentence.
Meet Geoffrey, the most expensive chew toy I have ever bought.
But you like him. Your brother’s like him. Ruth likes him.

Sunshine and Ice Cream
You slept.
Outdoor service that was indoor.
Mops holding you. You distracting those behind him. Youth kids . . . especially the boys . . . totally digging your gumming of your grandfather’s shirt.
Baptisms.
Two important ones: Daddy and Asher.
Picnics.
Nap-less naps.
An ear cleaning with hydrogen peroxide.
Family date night.
Ice cream.
Brother.
Brothers love.

Caught Ya! Almost.
I finally caught you trying flipping over.
It was such a delightful moment when our eyes locked and your body careened on its side before . . .
almost . . . .
ahhhh . . . . almost . . . .
rolling over.

A Rather Large Ladybug
We (meaning the boys and I) adore your outfit today.
You are a large ladybug, thanks to Sarah.
Day 221 – a trip to two banks and a snuggly visit to Trader Joes and a good nap. I bought a truck load of bananas for you today. The cashier thought I was weird for the filling a shopping cart full of bananas. (It was a child’s shopping cart.)
And you blow the cutest bubbles . . . zerberts . . . like a constant motorcycle running through my ear. I heart your noises!

You Look Like Cotton Candy
Day 220 is treating you quite nicely.
Sleep. Sleep. And more sleep.
Seriously, you have been awake about 1.5 hours today. And now you are sitting in your little pink chair looking like . . . cotton candy.
Organic cotton candy, that is.

A Little Running Water
As God has been bathing the earth, so I immersed you today. You stared in the mirror, with a firm hand gripped around my fingers . . . making it a little difficult to bathe you.
You present touch just made bath time last longer. And I have no problem with that.
You are already growing up too fast.
Day 219 – Mamma was over. She properly oogled over you and proclaimed you all things gorgeous. I agree.
I think you are like a daily vacation.
Except when you don’t sleep. But even then, I still love you.
By the way, you had bananas today, mixed in with your carrots and avacado.

Maybe Jumping will Help You Sleep – Not!
Your naps are consistently longer than the chunks that you sleep during the night.
No fair.
It’s like you know that if you cry at night, I will be in such a coma that your cry hits the automatic button in my brain that propels my feet to the floor and my body into action.
Please sleep tonight. Can we only get up 1 time . . . even 2 times? I won’t complain.
Jumping. You are like Tigger. (Not that you know who Tigger is.) The boys like you vertical rather than horizontal. Meaning they beg me to put you in the jumper.
I think it makes them think you are playing toys with them.
And so ends Day 218. Daddy fed you dinner while I took the boys and the dog for a walk. You ate 2 bowls – asparagus and carrot with chicken stock.
