Day 67:  December 24

Since we are going to Nana and Mops on Christmas Day, we did our family celebration of the Birth of Jesus on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Vacation 028

You slept through much of it.  But I know that you will like what you were given.  Eventually.

P

Mental note,  next year we are going to do our three Christmas presents as follows:

  1. gold --  something you really want
  2. frankincense --  something you need
  3. myrrh --  something spiritual, to help your walk with the Lord

Day 68:  December 25

Due to a light dusting of snow, we were a wee bit late arriving at Nana and Mop’s house.

Christmas Vacation 073

Sigh.

That is how it is with being a family of 6.

Well . . . having 4 young children.

Christmas Vacation 076(You really like your new bean bag chair.)

Day 69:  December 26

Christmas at Mama and Papa’s house!

Christmas Vacation 188

Sweet Gabe always wants to hold you . . . when we are getting ready to go somewhere.  Don’t you love his zebra gloves?

Christmas Vacation 199

Girlfriend, never doubt how loved you are.

Day 71: December 28

Today was your two month physical.  You weighed 12.7 pounds and were 22 inches long.

Christmas Vacation 230

You and Ezra shared an appointment with Swathi

Christmas Vacation 231 and you tagged along with us on our date to Starbucks and Target.  No pooping on this trip!

Day 72:  December 29

We went to see some old college friends today, Brett and Abbi.

Christmas Vacation 256

They have a handful of kids too!  Maybe next year you can go sledding!

Christmas Vacation 254

P.S. Thanks for letting me sleep 9 hours last night!

Day 73:  December 30

We took Asher and Ezra ice skating today.  I was a bit nervous leaving you behind.  Truth be told – I just didn’t want you to get a bottle!  It is so much easier to nurse you.

Day 55:  the evening of December 11

Omi 002

Omi 004

We got what you might say a lot of snow.  Forgoing all of our evening plans, we got out the sleds and off we went for a snowy walk in the neighborhood.  It was a little cold.

You were fine – until we got home.

Maybe it was the snowsuit.  Winnie the Pooh . . . I don’t blame you.  Don’t worry, Nana got you a funky snow suit that fits better anyhow.

Day 58:  December 14

Today your poor brother fell and busted his face.  Oh, what a horrible crash he had!  Your dad had to come home from work and take Gabe to the dentist.  May God protect you from serious injury, my little one.

Through all of Gabe’s pain, though . . . he has remained ever so gentle and even more aware of your cries.

P.S.  This was the very first time I left you for the evening.  Praise the Lord, you slept the entire time that I was gone at Tia’s bachelorette dinner.

Day 60:  December 17

After Tia’s and Michael’s rehearsal dinner, Daddy and I took a small date to Whole Foods for some kombucha.

Day 66:  December 23

Mussoorie 043

Today was a very hard day . . . we had to say goodbye to our faithful dog.  I’m so sad that you really will never know her.   She was a good dog.  She was at your birth . . . watching over . . . . guarding the house. You have been such a comfort to me during this tough time . . . with all of your sweet smiles.

365/55

We were supposed to go to Chicago . . . but we didn’t.

So glad.

We “crafted” instead.

And you went on  date with Ezra and I for a bagel and  little shopping at Target . . . where you had a blowout.

I’ve decided that the “twist” doesn’t work.

Umm . . . yes, you have the same outfit on.  It happens.

Day 50:  Monday, December 6

This was a big day.  We registered you.  It’s official – you were born!

December Totally Tots 042

I wanted you to look so pretty . . .

December Totally Tots 044

And you did.

But . . . you pooped.  In a major way.

So I changed you right there at the County Health Department.

December Totally Tots 049

Seriously, though . . . we had to take you to the Health Department along with a bunch of paperwork to prove that you are a legit, God created human being.

Now you can get your birth certificate and social security number.

Day 51:  Tuesday, December 7

December Totally Tots 062

Asher came home from the hospital wearing this little number.

I recently went through your brothers’ baby clothes.  It made me cry.  Lots of memories.

There were a few things I was able to pull out for you.  Don’t worry – nothing too boyish!

Day 52:  Wednesday, December 8

You and Mussie hadn’t yet had a photo shoot . . . and well . . . I figured it needed to happen sooner than later.

christmas tree 013

Mussie isn’t doing too great these days.

 christmas tree 011

I love your little grin . . . as if to say, “This isn’t so bad.  I like the doggy!”

 christmas tree 010

Mussie decided that you weren’t so bad yourself!

Day 54:  Friday, December 10

This is a borderline outfit . . . but I wanted you to wear something warm . . . and something that all my babies had worn . . . so . . . at least you are warm.

021

And right now you are really warm – you are in the Moby.  You are keeping ME warm!

Phew . . . I have your blog caught up.  For anyone reading this . . . I posted a lot of back posts . . . look around and find some more Pleasant Words!
